Golden Parade Participation Details

Information from our Parade Participation Coordinator, Pam Solomon for Saturdays parade.

Hi all.

The Golden Parade is this Saturday, 12/13 @ 1030am. Everyone is invited to come whether or not your dog pulls a cart. Here is information on the Parade:

1.  Parade route is on Washington between 10th and 13th.

2. Staging area is on 10th and Archer which is West of Washington. We are #22 between Hollidaly Brewing Company and Gnarly's.

3. Need to be there setting up by 930am. The police will be closing down the roads at 945am. You will not be able to get in after that time. 

4. Our theme is "Here Comes Santa Claus". Think Elves, reindeer, gifts. Noone can dress as Santa Claus. Golden has the sole right to him.

5. Public restrooms at 10th and Maple and Port A Potties at 10th and Illinois. 

Some regulations Golden wanted me to share:

1. Follow with the parade.

2. No stopping to perform along the route until we get under the Arch. Then we can briefly stop and perform. They will announce our club and we will be photographed and videoed for 9 news.

3. No drones

4. Must stay with the parade the entire 3 blocks.

5. We can give out stuff but no throwing candy, cards, confetti etc.

6. Children under 5 yrs can either walk with an adult or ride.

7. Nothing flameable.

8. Again, no Santa.

9. Last and perhaps most important-dogs must be leashed at all times.
