Meet Odin

Meet Odin. . .he was relinquished to the BMDCR rescue about a week ago. His back story is he had been living on a ranch in Southern Colorado in hopes he would guard the property. But he had other ideas and kept wandering off in search of his people. He is 4 ½ years old, neutered and has been vetted so up to date on immunization. His foster mom says he is the quintessential Bernese, loving, loyal and laid back. Despite being an outdoor dog he has adjusted well to being in the house. He is friendly with humans and other dogs (including males). Not sure on children but, prior to being relinquished, he lived with 5 kiddos. Also not sure on cats but he has not shown any prey drive with all the squirrels in his foster home yard. Because he has been a farm dog, he does need leash training and for other basic commands but seems to be very responsive to treats! There is a possibility he could be a flight risk so his new family should have a secure fence and some experience with a large exuberant dog. He is sure to be a perfect companion to the right owners.
